Ponyboy Curtis is a fourteen year old Greaser who lives on the East Side of Tulsa with his two brothers Darrel and Sodapop. He is a lost and dreamy sort of person who loves to read, draw, and watch sunsets. He is pretty quiet and shy, but he can still take care of himself. Ponyboy is different from other greasers. He doesn't fight for fun, or to show off, he fights because he has to, not because he wants to. He enjoys reading and watching movies. He does not seem like the type of character who is evil and mean, neither does he seem like a gang member. He helped Johnny save the children from the burning church before Johnny died. At first I didn't think he was a gang member because of how his character acted, but after I got to know he was a gang affiliated character.
